Community is defined as: a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. We want to get a community of people together who can build trust in a space and program, so that lifestyle changes can start to trickle into their lives. Once the trickle happens, improvement will happen. Once improvements happen, motivation comes on board. Then determination, consistency and hope. These elements equal a healthier and hopefully happier life.

This is where our gentleRESET model was born. Taking these pillars and integrating them into a branded system to help you navigate the process. gentleRESET is our cultural practice at gG. It assists our daily process and facilitates our forward progress.
DON'T FORGET, BRAIN INTEGRATION:
Something we are very intentional of is to integrate brain challenging activities into your individualized program and in the way we set up the gG space. Sometimes behavior change is hard because of how our brain is functioning, not just simply from "lazy" decision making. Movement patterns, behavior change, balance, core stability, safety, decision making, diet challenges and mood effects are a few of the things that show improvement when intentionally integrating your brain into your plan. You may be surprised how easy and fun it can be.
One of the challenges in working with individuals managing chronic issues, is that there is pain, embarrassment or fear in doing something like gG for themselves. There are many reasons for barriers. If you are one of those people, then stop. Right now stop whatever running thoughts are going on in your head. This is likely the exact thing you need! There are no miracles here, not that we aren't open to them! Just work and support and hopefully some joy again!
gG extends a few challenges to you as a member to facilitate a healthy culture and foster change, and they are:
Find joy in the journey.
Focus on kindness, goodness, gratitude, perspective, listening and compassion to the people around you.
Introduce yourself to a neighbor member, even if it means going out of your comfort zone a bit or a lot.
Remember to not "judge a book by its cover". We probably have no idea what is going on in the other person's life.
Be willing to open up at some point. Start to let go of some things you don't need to hold on to anymore.
Hurt doesn't mean harm necessarily. Be willing to learn and understand, because sometimes that's the very key to turning a corner when you are stuck.
Be you. It's important to be you, but you need to know who that person is. So prioritize this. "Love yourself, and the rest will follow".

Thank You for today. I pray that You would help me to see the progress I am making. Sometimes I get overwhelmed thinking I am not making any progress at all, when in reality I am, I just need a different perspective or vantage point to see it. Thank You for the changes You are making in me. Thank You for the progress amidst my imperfection. I pray I continue to make progress in Jesus’ name AMEN!
